The International Buddhism Sangha Association always upholds the teachings of Sakyamuni Buddha and H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. The purpose of the Association is to benefit all sentient beings with great compassion and selfless devotion, and to enhance the welfare of all beings.
Numerous misfortunes worldwide have caused countless loss of life and property, and natural disasters have inflicted widespread destruction and distress. Therefore, a Greatly Compassionate Thousand-Armed Guan-Yin Bodhisattva Grand Mandala Dharma Assembly will be held in Hong Kong on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. to pray for all those who are suffering, to eliminate misfortunes and plead for blessings, and to pray for world peace and prosperity of nations.
The Thousand-Armed Guan-Yin Bodhisattva is the kindest and most benevolent Bodhisattva and the Lord of Great Compassion in the Universe. She takes on various forms to teach Buddha dharma to living beings. Following the sounds of those who call out in distress, She relieves suffering. She frees living beings from disasters and hardships and benefits living beings. She even transforms into different forms of gods and deities and is present at all times.
The Greatly Compassionate Thousand-Armed Guan-Yin Bodhisattva Grand Mandala Dharma Assembly will be conducted in accordance with the orthodox rituals of the Grand Mandala to beseech the Greatly Compassionate Thousand-Armed Guan-Yin Bodhisattva to manifest mighty supernormal power, bestow great auspiciousness, enhance the happiness of sentient beings, increase the good fortune and wisdom of congregants, and fulfill their wishes.
The Grand Mandala Dharma Assembly is an extraordinarily rare occasion to pray for blessings. All eminent monastics within Buddhism, the seven types of disciples, and people from all walks of life are cordially invited to attend this auspicious Assembly to accept Buddha’s blessings and receive Dharma benefits.
After the completion of the Dharma Assembly, the assembly hall will remain open from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. for public worshipping and making offerings to the exhibited holy objects. The offering ceremony will follow the rituals of celebrating Sakyamuni Buddha’s miraculous transformations. The holy objects are truly sacred treasures that are extremely rare and difficult to encounter in the world. Among them are the magnificent Sakyamuni Buddha’s sariras and sariras that came down along with nectar during an assembly in which dharma was practiced to invoke the Buddhas to bestow nectar; a holy twig of the magnolia tree that suddenly rained nectar like a tornado of snowflakes during the ceremony to respectfully receive the treasure book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III (a video recording that scene will be shown during the exhibition); a Buddha statue that emitted magically varying light; and the porcelain dish in which medicinal ingredients for making Ka Zhuo An De pills were heated on the belly of a person of great holiness and virtue who was practicing Tummo (inner-heat) dharma in front of many rinpoches and dharma teachers. A brief video will be shown documenting a heat-detecting infrared instrument measuring heat from the belly of a person of great holiness and virtue, which heat rose up to 197.4°F. There will also be images taken by a scientific instrument of the head of a person of great holiness and virtue showing the transformation of that person’s head into the image of Maitreya Bodhisattva in the form of a holy fetus. Images from that scientific instrument will also show an egg-sized opening from the crown of this person’s head extending to the brain. Those who pay respect and make offerings to these sacred treasures will receive immense empowerment, increased good fortune and extended longevity! After the worshipping ceremony, special souvenirs will be distributed to create a karmic connection with all of the attendees.
In addition to the activities of the Grand Dharma Assembly and worshipping the holy objects, on Sunday, November 11, the International Buddhism Sangha Association has specially invited the World Wiser Committee to explain the rules of the “WISER” ball game and to demonstrate and teach people how to play that ball game.
The “WISER” ball game is the noblest and highest-level ball sport played by ancient emperors, kings, ministers, and scholar-officials, as well as Western heads of state and presidents to develop their strategic skills and test their intelligence. It not only can strengthen physical prowess and improve health, it also develops brain power and enhances wisdom. It is the best of all ball games. It is not restricted by age, height, gender, or race. It does not require any specific playing field, and it can be played at any place, even with any kind of obstacles. It does not require spending a lot of money and is extremely safe. Anyone who loves sports, wishes to strengthen his or her body and mind, and desires to elevate his or her moral character can take part in the sport. It is truly a sport that treats all people equally. Playing Wiser ball relies on the strategies and competing techniques of both the individual as well as the group. In terms of training intelligent thinking, it resembles playing chess and setting up battle positions. In terms of exercising the body and building up physical vigor, it is a perfect, natural, top-caliber ball sport.
The fact that anyone—regardless of one’s age, gender, height, body size, race, and skin color—can all enjoy the benefits of the “WISER” game is an advantage that no other ball games can match. “WISER” is the most perfect, noblest, and most beneficial ball sport in the world. The overall beneficial effects are: strengthening the body and improving health, enlivening the spirit, developing brain power and wisdom, fostering fellowship and friendship among people, and elevating the moral character of people in all age groups, including seniors, middle-aged people, young people, and minors.
Since the initial promotion of the “WISER” sport, people from all walks of life have enthusiastically organized teams. It is known for a fact that, in merely four months, over one hundred teams have been established around the world. Players all love, praise, and feel excited about the game because of the obvious benefits it brings to their physical and mental health. The World Wiser Committee has announced that a multi-national tournament will be held in March of 2013. We hope the participating teams will win honors for the respective countries they represent.
Please keep in mind that “WISER” is non-religious. Followers of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Taoism, or other religions, people who are non-religious, male, female, old and young can all participate and will be treated equally. As H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has stated, “‘WISER’ does not belong to Buddhism or any other religion. It is purely a sport bestowed by nature to humankind to strengthen both body and mind!”
