To better facilitate the development of dharma affairs and propagate Buddha-dharma to save living beings, Hua Zang Si (the Temple) agreed and approved the Hua Zang Buddhist Institute in Los Angeles, which was originally affiliated with the Temple, to officially become independent on December 3, 2015.
To support the Hua Zang Buddhist Institute in better learning the teaching and Buddha-dharma from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and Sakyamuni Buddha, Hua Zang Si donated to the Hua Zang Buddhist Institute the Temple’s property located at 2739 Stingle Avenue, Rosemead, California, which was originally the location of the Hua Zang Buddhist Institute in Los Angeles. The ownership now belongs to the Hua Zang Buddhist Institute. The temple does not ask for anything in return.
However, we hope that the Hua Zang Buddhist Institute will always uphold and abide by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s and Sakyamuni Buddha’s teaching, conduct and deeds, precepts and disciplines, and rules and stipulations, firmly uphold the correct direction of its teaching and learning, accurately and rigorously abide by the precepts, benefit the great masses, establish an upright atmosphere of learning, and become a role model for others to follow, so as to make the required contributions to training and developing Buddhist disciples who truly possess correct understanding and views and excellent characters and practices.
