(We hope that people can all read the following public announcement and forward to others. Doing so will result in boundless merit.)
Through the written examination given during the past two years to masters and cultivators, verifications and proofs were produced from the practice. Among people who are masters with titles of venerable one, dharma king, great rinpoche, and dharma master, 98% of such masters did not score 60 points or higher in their written answers to the test problems based on sutras, vinayas, and shastras. The scores of some dharma kings and rinpoches are between 20 to 30 points. Wang Zha Shang Zun said,
“I always thought that there exist heresies with serious violations against the sutras and teachings of Buddhism among many dharma kings, great rinpoches, khenpos, dharma masters, and laypersons who published books and established their own theories in society. My beneficent Master H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III said, ‘Your opinion is somewhat reasonable but is still not complete. Those well-known figures at the levels of masters who listen to the dharma I expounded are not much better either! Most of them are not cultivating themselves. They do not follow the dharma I taught to act in accord with the dharma.’ Now I see that these dharma kings, rinpoches, and dharma masters who listen to the recorded dharma discourses expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III are truly like what the Buddha Master said. Very few of them are really learning and practicing in accord with the meaning of the dharma taught by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. What they have learned and acquired is less than 20-30% of the meaning of the dharma taught by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Although they as a whole look somewhat better than those dharma kings, rinpoches, and dharma masters who do not listen to the recorded dharma discourses expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, they still do not quite understand or are not quite proficient in the Tripitaka of sutras, vinayas, and shastras and Buddha-dharma.”
Because of such understanding and views they have on the doctrine of Buddhism, we at the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters (UIWBAH) are concerned that living beings may be misled. Therefore, UIWBAH immediately launched an investigation and found that there are even several masters with well-known and loudly heard fames in the world who not only carelessly and baselessly make up their discourses but also take some sentences from sutras, vinayas, and shastras out of context and rewrite them with their heresies mixed in. They baselessly alter and put together articles of cultivation, dharma practice, dedicating merit, making vows, and precepts and disciplines to create false rituals and false Buddha-dharma for their disciples to learn, practice and abide by. They use such means to control their disciples to be loyal to them and also collect offerings using the name of building temples and monasteries.
It is not widely known that there exist wide differences in the efforts of building temples and monasteries, from creating boundless merit to generating endless sins. Do you know whether the fund you presented as offering is used at a place presided by a great holy virtuous one or a place controlled by an evil master who violates the precepts? Is your master a true holy virtuous one? What grade level is that master at?
We clearly inform cultivators based on what we definitely know that the temples that can truly generate boundless merit for you all are the Ancient Buddha Temple and the Holy Manifestations Temple to be built by UIWBAH. These two temples are completely different from other temples. The difference is like that between the sky and the ground or even resembles the difference between the heaven realm and the vicious lower realms. Perhaps you want to ask why it sounds so strange. This is because the Ancient Buddha Temple will respectfully beseech H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to preside. There isn’t any master whose power of merit can make even a remote comparison with this fact. Wang Zha Shang Zun said,
“Even I, Wang Zha, do not possess the qualification to be in charge of this temple of boundless merit. I can only have a little to do with this temple. Only donating to these two temples can truly create merit for oneself. As to other temples, you have to judge based on the abbot’s grade level and whether his/her view is upright or evil to determine whether it is meritorious to do so or not or how much merit and how much dark karma doing so will create. If you make a financial contribution to a wrong place, not only there is no merit but also you will catch dark karma.”
The above-mentioned amateurs of Buddhism committed faults and sins of different severities due to their evil views of violating the sutras’ teachings. Some of them had somewhat less faulty deeds but still falsely self-claimed themselves to be holy ones. We can only say that they are not demons and devils yet. Some others are absolutely evil, vicious, and demonic masters who mislead and harm their disciples and bring them to the three lower realms.
UIWBAH has announced publicly over and over again that a master who has not achieved the level of a great holy virtuous one at Golden Button Grade 3 or higher has no qualification to give discourses. Then, how can such a person have the qualification to write or alter the text of the dharma that disciples learn and practice!!! A master who has no proficiency in sutras, vinayas, shastras, and the dharma will definitely make erroneous or demonic statements. Furthermore, what he or she wrote has no lineage from the dharma and thus does not possess the siddhi empowerment from the lineage. Disciples who follow that to cultivate and practice will definitely attach dark karma to themselves!
We now specifically issue an announcement to all cultivators. To avoid such a possibility of being harmed, you should immediately submit the textbooks for learning and practicing and the verses of chanting that your master transmitted to you to UIWBAH for evaluation, to determine whether such materials are from a lineage of authentic Buddhism. Now the examination has completely proven that 98% of the people are still wandering outside the door of Buddha-dharma, Buddhism, and the study of Buddhism and do not have a proficient understanding of the dharma methods. Some of them even dare alter text of the dharma from the lineage. The dark karma created by such an act is enormous!
If your master does not permit you to submit such materials he or she taught you to UIWBAH for inspection or you are concerned that you once made a vow against serious consequences to be loyal to him and dare not break that vow, then you should think very clearly about a matter of principle. Suppose your master is a demon lord, devil, mountain spirit, or water villain, if you still want to uphold your vow of being loyal to him, what you eventually will get will definitely be the sinful retribution of devolving into one of the three lower realms. Therefore, a vow made before an evil one absolutely cannot be executed. Rather, you should immediately repent to correct evil and pursue kindness. To know whether your master is evil or upright, you have to observe the grade level he or she attained and use His Holiness the Buddha’s discourse on the 128 views to check and verify him or her. That will tell what type of person he or she is. Alternatively, you can submit the dharma manual containing what you learned and are practicing for checking and verification by a holy examination. That will immediately determine whether the master is upright or evil. Only by doing so can Buddhists be safe and cultivate on the correct path. Otherwise, one will forever be in misery.
As of now, before seeing this announcement, several masters have already submitted their writings containing evil and baseless contents. Such an action is worthy of praise and shows they can repent on their own recognition. Being able to correct creates merit and deserves forgiveness.
To masters who see this notice, if you are not a great holy virtuous one at the level of Golden Button Grade 3 or higher but have usurped sutras, vinayas, and shastras to excerpt sentences and paragraphs to edit into lineage-less textbooks for disciples to learn and practice, you should immediately repent deeply, notify the people you teach to stop using the textbooks carrying your alterations, and submit the materials (Of course that does not include the unaltered rituals original and universal to the lineage. Such rituals are only transmitted through initiations.) to UIWBAH. After Wang Zha Shang Zun corrects the erroneous and sinful writings, the corrected materials will be sent back to you so you can distribute to your students to learn and practice. The Shang Zun said,
“My beneficent Master H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III taught us, ‘There are two kinds of people in this world. One kind of people have the vision of knowing themselves. The other kind of people perceive themselves to be smart. The first kind of people will uphold and abide by the principle of doing nothing that is evil and doing all that is good. They know what things should be done and what things should not be done and will not err on causality. The second kind of people are selfish and want to benefit themselves. For that they create bad karma and tell lies to deceive people. They think that they can hide the facts from everyone, but eventually they will be exposed. Whatever that is false can only be false. As an ancient saying goes, “To keep people from knowing what you did, the only way is that you would not have done it].”’ Those of you who are masters and who have violated the precepts and deceived people, you should know clearly that the malicious deeds you did cannot be kept hidden. Even if you can stop some people from submitting the materials, there will definitely be some others who will submit to seek validation. At that time, you will have a more miserable consequence because of the law of cause and effect. In that case, I will publish the original text of your evil writings to all.”
“To you masters who made up baseless nonsensical statements, do you want to submit your materials on your own for inspection or continue to endanger, harm, and cheat people until the day of being exposed? When that happens, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III cannot rescue you. Sakyamuni Buddha cannot rescue you. I, humble Bhiksu Wang Zha, simply will not rescue you because my duties and responsibilities are protecting true Buddha-dharma, removing heresies, benefiting cultivators and the great masses, and educating evil masters and charlatans so that they will correct themselves.”
“You all should also note that, if you submit on your own this time, I will make corrections for you and will not criticize you by name. However, if you follow the old track and step back onto the evil path to make up nonsense to deceive the great masses again in the future, there will not be another opportunity to be forgiven.”
