First, we would like to remind you all to take this matter seriously and truly act upon this Twenty-Fourth Public Announcement to carry it out in your conduct. You should no longer repeat the way of seeing without action. Otherwise, there will the continuous appearing of situations in a process of not listening to the teaching and warning from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, sending letters of inquiry without finding out the facts, and then asking for confirmation again after being taken. Let’s say it in a way which may not be pleasant to hear. Why did you want to believe them? Are you really so willing to be deceived? Since you do not listen to what H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III says, can you still regard yourself as a Buddhist disciple? Did you use the 128 views to check and verify?
Actually, some of these people who were taken advantage of had problems themselves. Such a person’s original intention was to make profit from the opportunities of organizing others to make offerings to his rinpoche or master or doing business. That is why he simply did not listen to the reminder and warning from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. In the end, he did not profit from the greedy act of self-benefiting and, on the contrary, was deceived by the precept-violating master. Only at this time, he had the idea of contacting the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to complain. Of course, this kind of instance is very rare.
H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III knew long ago that there were some people who had violated precepts, did not listen to the corrective teaching to transform them, and did not care about the interests of cultivators. As a result, in order to protect good people, the Buddha stated over and over again, in the recorded dharma lessons and the published Buddhist books as well as in quite a few public announcements from the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, to inform all kind cultivators, including both males and females, that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III had declared a long time ago that He does not accept any offering and He only works voluntarily to benefit living beings.
However, this decision and the notices and warnings from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III still have fallen on deaf ears to some cultivators. Consequently, some rinpoches, acaryas, and dharma masters were able to create and take advantage of some loopholes. These people may secretly use the name of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, or make the excuse of making offerings to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, or declare the establishment of a dharma center at a certain place, or say the need of buying dharma instruments, or announce the intention of holding a certain Buddhist event. Summarizing in one sentence, these precept-violating individuals falsely use the name of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to raise money from others for their own purposes. Such acts have become so furious as to become the evil deeds of openly committing offense to the teaching of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. There was an instance that a rinpoche presented more than ten red-envelopes (containing money) and stated that those were money from his disciples in other countries making offerings to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. He also brought some other items including clothing fabrics and other things. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III felt very sad for that and immediately told this rinpoche to return the money and all other things to the people who made the offerings. The rinpoche was told to leave right away. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III told the Office on the spot to rigorously investigate such non-pure acts and publish them in the world, in order to prevent cultivators from being taken.
Because the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III recently again received a number of requests for verification of a similar nature, in order for preventing all kind cultivators from being taken and deceived and for you all to understand truly the never-change decision of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III on offerings made to Him one more time, the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III hereby makes the following public announcement once more. We ask all people to remember clearly. This is not due to the dereliction of duty by the Office. The fact is that we have repeatedly issued public announcements over and over again to remind everyone. However, some people still do not listen and are willing to be taken. There is nothing we can do about that.
1. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III does not accept offerings. That include what you called showing respect to the dharma. His Holiness also does not accept offerings on behalf of any temple or organization in the society. That includes money, property, food, and anything of monetary value.
2. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has stated many times that any person, regardless of how high his status is or how great a reputation he has, cannot accept offerings on behalf of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. In addition, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III never accepted any offering made through a third party. Whatever offering you made to anyone or organization or group has nothing to do with H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.
3. If anyone makes offering or donates to a temple that belongs to a holy virtuous one or a great virtuous one and propagates true Buddha-dharma, a dharma center, a charitable organization, a social organization, an organization for benefiting the public, or a disaster-assistance organization, such conduct of charity is respectable. However, that is just the wish of the donor and cannot be stipulated or forced by any rinpoche, dharma master or acarya.
4. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III told you all seriously that as long as you study seriously and act according to the two great Mind Essences ofThe Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation published on the internet as well asWhat is Cultivation and Expounding the Fundamental Truth in terms of the Heart Sutra, there is no need to become anyone’s disciple. That includes there is no need to become a disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. However, you must listen to the recorded dharma lessons expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III!!! By doing so, everyone will be able to gain fortune and wisdom and attain accomplishment. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has done all He could and even stated that there is no need to take Him as your master. The words are so plain and simple. There is not a need for you to meet Him. Does He still want anything from you? Can you conclude that He wants your offering?
5. Many cultivators do not know about H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. We briefly provide you with some information here today. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III not only does not accept offerings but also use His own money from selling paintings to donate and provide gifts to temples, monastic practitioners, as well as laypersons. Such examples are too many to mention. These examples are not worthy of mentioning because we do not have the intention of seeking vindication. Moreover, mentioning such things is related to worldly mundane views and attachment. However, without talking about these facts, your misunderstanding will keep you in confusion. That is why a few real examples from recent years must be listed here:
A businessperson from Shanghai, China, a businessperson from Thailand, and a businessperson from Taiwan have learned Buddha-dharma from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III for several years. They all wrote letters of donation from their own wishes to make offerings of real estate properties worth over ten million yuans (currency of China). However, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III firmly refused to accept. They said that, because they had already made vows from their own minds but the Buddha Master did not accept, they could only separately support charitable organizations in the society serving the public with US$500,000, US$300,000, and US$1,500,000.
After learning H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s The Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation, a well-known businessperson from Beijing, China offered his stock holdings valued at more than 120 million yuan to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III this year. However, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III treated this in the same way as to all people making offerings – He declined to accept and wrote on the letter of offering to state His position of not accepting any amount of money!
During the time when the World Peace Prize was awarded, a businessperson with family origin in Malaysia offered H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III a mansion located in a high-class residential district in the greater Washington, DC area which has 10,000 square-feet in-door living area and a two-acre yard. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III declined on the spot and noted on the letter of offering with the words of never accepting any money.
Someone sent one of his rinpoche disciples who led four other people to come here and make offerings. A letter of offering 250 million dollars to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was written. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III still declined to accept anything. Because we learned a day earlier that he brought many offerings, the whole scene was recorded with live video.
Some people knew that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III does not accept offerings. They simply left their red-envelopes and left. Some red-envelopes did not have names. Whenever such a situation happened, the red-envelope was always transferred to a temple and deposited into its public account. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III simply did not even take a look. This type of noble and unselfish moral state of a Buddha is unprecedented. However, some people claimed that the money that has been already donated to a temple was offered to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. This kind of person is really pitiable! The Buddha did not accept money in the amounts of several hundred of thousands, several millions, or several hundred of millions and even donated His own money from selling paintings. Could He possibly have the greed of taking your small red-envelope to pollute His own reputation? All these examples are real events with real people. There are organizations accepting the donations, names of the donors and detailed amounts. All evidences are true and complete and are available for inspection.
Because some people are still being deluded and deceived, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III instructed the Office to make a public announcement again today. The purpose is to sincerely hope that you all learn Buddhism and cultivate, be good persons, become benevolent ones and great virtuous ones, and add to the peace and prosperity to mankind, living beings and the whole world. Therefore, you all must be especially careful. If, in the future, there are still people who use the name of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to collect offerings, build a dharma center, buy properties, sell things to disciples to make money from them, offer help to transfer offerings and so on, regardless how high their statuses may be, whatever they say is trying to deceive you. This is because H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III not only does not know about such lies but also firmly opposes evil and vicious acts of deceiving cultivators!
Although similar announcements were made publicly many times in the past, many people are still being misled. Now you should all open your eyes and remember this in your hearts. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III seriously instructed the Office to publicly inform people in the world: He announced to all venerable ones, dharma kings, rinpoches, dharma masters and acaryas. As long as you act out of a selfish mind, do not act according to the true Buddha-dharma and do things that are detrimental to living beings, you are not His disciple, because that is, without a doubt, an act of demons and evil ones! On the other hand, all Buddhist disciples are also publicly informed that, if you engage in untrue and baselessly fabricated defamation and lies against your mastersor rinpoches or dharma masters and do not act to expel evil and promote goodness, you are not a Buddhist disciple and are actually in the captivity of demonic impediment.
The Buddha stated, “All kind men and women, including everyone who has the opportunity of seeing me, must not make offerings to me!!! This is because I do not accept your offerings. What I want to do is to hope that people will all become kind and good persons, help and be friendly with each other and become true cultivators.”
Some people declared that only through his arrangement can one meet H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. If you believe him, you have deviated from the truth and you are mistaken! Some people said that the dharma instruments and dharma objects they have are holy objects empowered by the Buddha and can help people. Some other people said that, once he had a new house, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III would go there and empower it to become a holy site. These kinds of statements are really lies unheard of before. You may not know this fact. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III came to the United States of America 12 years ago and has never been to any Buddhist disciple’s home. The reason is that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is concerned that people who do not abide by the Buddha’s teaching would use His name to deceive others. Without even going to someone’s home, would He perform empowerment in that home? Do you know what empowerment is? H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III stated that He does not have the ability to do that because it does not belong to cultivation.
Of course, you all can definitely receive empowerment from the Buddha. However, you must clearly understand that the following several sentences are the true empowerment. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III said, “You must learn and understand Expounding the Fundamental Truth in terms of the Heart Sutra and What is Cultivationand make a good effort in helping others to listen to the recorded dharma lessons I discoursed. In particular, you should cultivate and abide by the two great Mind Essences of The Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation. Only that is the true empowerment I gave to you. Actually this is just the empowerment you realized by yourselves through your cultivation. By doing so, you will certainly receive empowerment from the yidam of the dharma as well as all Buddhas. I can guarantee that you will receive initiation of holy dharma, be certain to acquire upper-class Buddha-dharma, beneficially gain fortune and wisdom, and attain great accomplishment! That will not be due to my blessing power. Rather, it will be because you have cultivated yourself, be realized by yourself, and be the definite outcome from the law of cause and effect. I have neither merit nor virtue and forever am a servant to living beings and a humble one.”
