Statement #14

By | January 2, 2014

Buddhist Disciple Zhuowa Gongbo wrote a letter of repentance to us.

Because the original text of this repentance was limited by his ability in literature, the words and sentences revealed the sin of ignorance. If published, the Office has to go through the text and once again provide teaching, correction, and criticism on the impure karmas therein. However, to a person who made up the mind to repent and correct his or her fault, the Office cannot do so. Therefore, the original writing of the repentance is not published here.

Explanation from the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III:

The Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III received Buddhist Disciple Zhuowa Gongbo’s repentance. He made a vow to correct the evil he had done and return to the correct path.

Coincidentally, one day before the Office received that repentance, a recorded dharma lesson expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III titled “Important Treasure: A Dharma Lesson That Involves Our Accomplishment” was published. In this lesson, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III expounded the dharma clearly regarding the problems of side paths and evil views exposed among some Buddhist disciples in their learning Buddhism and cultivation.

We must clearly understand that, within the entire dharmadhatu (or dharma realm), other than Dorje Chang Buddha, every holy one attained his or her holiness by learning Dorje Chang Buddha’s Buddha-dharma. This is because Dorje Chang Buddha is the original and the first primordial Sambhogakaya Buddha, or in other words, the primordial Buddha that possesses form and body and can expound the dharma using the expression of language. For example, it was clearly recorded in the book of the Stages of the Lineage of Great Perfection:

  1. Samantabhadra Tathagata, Adharma Buddha
  2. Sambhogakaya Buddha, Dorje Chang Buddha
  3. The Five Dhyani Buddhas
  4. Vajrasattva
  5. Others

Because the Samantabhadra Buddha has no form and therefore does not play the role of expounding the dharma, the Sambhogakaya Buddha was perfectly originated from the Samantabhadra Buddha to perform the function of expounding the dharma. Therefore, a number of treatises and writings in the history of Buddhism all stated and proved that Dorje Chang Buddha was the original and the first primordial Buddha of form.

Any holy one who cultivated to become a Buddha had undergone a process of having made mistakes or even committed sins, then having repented and corrected himself or herself, and eventually attaining accomplishment and liberation. Once one corrected the faults and is truly engaging in self-cultivation and benefiting others, one is a good Buddhist disciple.

As long as you seriously and respectfully listen to the recording dharma lessons expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, devote yourself concretely to learning Buddhism and self-cultivation and regard that as your main undertaking, remove selfishness and attachment to the self, sincerely advocate and publicize listening to the recording dharma lessons expounded by His Holiness the Buddha, and benefit others, we believe that you will definitely receive the teaching by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in person and that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III will  transmit the dharma to you!
