My Statement
Today, I just received the news on the internet. A person with the name of “Liu Xianxian” said, “Xiao Ying please do not take the joy for granted too early. It was heard that Shao Baoling, sister of Shao Hsiao-ling who is the wife of Hu Chih-chiang, and Dharma Master Long Hui who is a sister of Dean Kuan Chung ‘may’ have already respectfully beseeched H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, who is the Pope of Buddhism and has the ability to turn everything around in the universe, to perform a dharma to turn the election of January 16 around for the Nationalist Party (Kuomintang, or KMT). Dorje Chang Buddha’s performing dharma this time is not an ordinary matter. It is to save the presidency for KMT with the cost of losing 13 years of his lifetime.”
I am very astounded to hear this news. I am a very ordinary monastic bhiksuni, but I have followed H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III for many years to learn Buddhism. I know deeply that I should adhere to the goal of enlightening oneself and enlightening others to treat living beings equally and will not treat people with partiality. This is the most basic cultivation and conduct of a cultivator. I must make a serious statement here The story on the internet that says Shao Baoling and I beseeched H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to perform a dharma to help Kuomintang is a complete fabrication without any factual basis. What you said made the matter too simple. Just by me and Shao Baoling, can the highest leader of Buddhism in the world be beseeched to take action?
However, it was true that I did beseech H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to take an action. That is, last year I respectfully invited H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to come to the Hua Zang Buddhist Institute to expound a session of Buddha-dharma. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s teaching is that we monastics should strictly abide by the precepts and rules, treat people equally, stay far away from matters of rights and wrongs, cultivate diligently, and enlighten ourselves as well as others. His Holiness the Buddha’s teaching is a fine medicine. As a humble bhiksuni, how do I dare to lax? I am busy at Buddhist work throughout the day and still do not have enough time. How can I have time to get tangled in worldly matters?
Humble Bhiksuni, Shi Long Hui
