Letters from disciples Liu Yukai and Zhu Yaqin
On this auspicious New Year’s Day for beseeching good luck and fortune, the International Buddhism Sangha Association (IBSA) received a letter from two Buddhist disciples, Liu Yukai and Zhu Yaqin. They expressed their wish that the IBSA can forward their letter to all.
Based on the sincerity inside their minds, their letter heartily mentioned a true story that they had made an offering to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and the true conduct of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in response to the disciples’ offering. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III only benefits living beings voluntarily for free but never accept even a penny regardless of the amount of money offered, just as stated in their letter, “The Buddha is truly so great. From the Buddha-dharma with perfect proficiency in both exoteric Buddhism and esoteric Buddhism to abundant manifestations of the Five Vidyas in true realizations and from the enlightenment level representing great compassion, accomplishment and equanimity to the unselfish holy mindset, which Buddhist figure is comparable to that? In comparison to this holiest Buddha, I dare say that there is no second such extremely holy being in the world!”
Actually, recalling from the history of Buddhism in the past, this is also unprecedented with the only exception of Sakyamuni Buddha! Comparing the Buddha with those so-called dharma kings, rinpoches, dharma masters in today’s world who do not possess any virtue or realization but are only interested in pillaging living beings’ money and wealth, we can’t help feeling fortunate for living beings. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III brought living beings in this earthly world The Supreme And Unsurpassable Mahamudra Of Liberation. Only by relying on the true Buddha-dharma from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and the not-yet-extinct true Buddha-dharma from Sakyamuni Buddha, can living beings really get liberated!
We would like to inform people that, in addition to what was described in the letter from these two Buddhist disciples, the IBSA knew many true examples and ironclad facts about H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s not accepting offerings. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III not only does not accept offerings, but also does not care about His own living. This fact can be illustrated by just a little example. During the past period of more than ten years since H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III came to the United States, we monastic practitioners often had the opportunities of seeing Him. However, we knew that he never gave even one instruction to people working in the kitchen on what He would like to eat. He always ate whatever that was prepared for Him. We often saw that He only ate a bowl of porridge in the morning and then, due to the busy activities of helping others, had to eat lunch until 7 or 8 o’clock in the evening. Sometimes, He just cooked by Himself a bowl of noodle with plain water plus some salt for a meal. With respect to such a selfless Buddha who always benefits others, we can imagine what kind of people those who defame Him are.
The Buddha’s actions are without a doubt bright, holy, pure, and unprecedented and represent the highest righteousness. However, in contrast, that fact becomes an offense to those dharma kings, rinpoches, dharma masters who live on taking offerings. The conduct of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III exposed the acts of deeply hidden selfish desire and the nature of deceiving living beings of some so-called Buddhist figures. Therefore, they became angry because of the embarrassment they had to suffer. They thought that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III made them lose face and cut off their source of income. As a result, they had to angrily defame H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Actually, this is really quite normal if we think about it. Who let H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III love and care living beings selflessly to cause disturbance to their self-centered ego and greedy desire and create obstacles to their pillaging money from living beings?
For example, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the only one in history who received the largest number of and the most rigorous recognitions. The dharma kings who made the recognitions even provided photos and video recordings of holding the letters of recognition they wrote, signing their names or stamping the letter with their seals. However, these swindlers under the cover of Buddhist figures even confounded black and white and tried in every possible way to spread the rumors that those recognitions were false. You can imagine how much upset they were because the holy and pure conduct of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III had cut off their source of income. However, governed by the law of cause and effect, evil things and sins will inevitably bankrupt. Forces of justice will all continuously support H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. For instance, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Legacy Award for International Service and Leadership, World Peace Price, and the only Buddha’s Day in the world are just praises and honors won by the Buddha’s conduct.
Therefore, on this auspicious day of New Year’s Day of 2012, we forward to Buddhist disciples and the general public this very moving letter that we received. We sincerely beseech and wish that all living beings can have the opportunity of listening to the Buddha-dharma of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, attain perfect good fortune and wisdom early, become holy virtuous ones who benefit living beings with great compassion, and consequently march toward the accomplishment of ending the cycle of birth and death! Thus, we forward the letter and the donation document from the two Buddhist disciples as is.

I am a humble Buddhist disciple, Liu Yukai. Because of my gratitude toward H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, I wrote the following open letter to express my wish. I hope that the IBSA can publish it.
An Open Letter to all Rinpoches, Dharma Masters and Buddhist Friends
My name is Liu Yukai. I am an entrepreneur in Beijing and am also a disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and a humble cultivator. In the Twenty-Fourth Public Announcement from the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III that has “…, a well-known businessperson from Beijing, China offered his stock holdings valued at more than 120 million yuans (yuan is the currency of China) to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III this year. However, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III treated this in the same way as to all people making offerings – He declined to accept and wrote on the letter of offering to state His position of not accepting any amount of money! …,” that “well-known businessperson from Beijing” is me.
Actually, as a Buddhist disciple, making offering to the Three Jewels and to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is a matter of bounden duty and belongs to the teaching and stipulations from Sakyamuni Buddha that Buddhist disciples should abide by and carry out. Making offering to the Three Jewels is basically based on our personal vow and determination and is a matter of our own. There is no need to state it in public. However, when we met the Buddha Master and presented our offerings, the Buddha Master firmly declined to accept. I was deeply moved and touched by the Buddha Master’s holy character of benefiting living beings wholeheartedly, not accepting any offering from living beings, and being free of selfish desires. This is the true reality that I had heard earlier, witnessed in the society, is the only one of its kind in history, and is unique in the world. The Buddha Master’s supremely high Buddha character leaves me no choice other than making the determination of publicly informing the world with my personal experience. Let’s all feel the vastly great kindness of the Buddha and the great good fortune we living beings now have.
1. The Arising of the Cause of My Learning Buddhism
I once was a cadre of the government. During the early period of reform and openness in 1980s, as a representative of the government, I took part in China’s first clothing enterprise jointly owned by Chinese and foreign investments and served at the positions of director and general manager. I created a well-known clothing enterprise along with famous clothing brands in China. In 1999, I resigned from the status of government cadre and all positions I had in the company to pursue a study in Australia. In 2000, I returned to China and founded the current clothing enterprise jointly owned by Chinese and foreign investments, the Beijing Pan-America Clothing Company Limited. The company now has three large clothing factories and over 4,000 employees and has maintained the first-place status in exporting wool-made suites within China.
During the over twenty years of enterprise management and living in the society, I always took the well-being of my employees and the responsibility to the society as my own duty. In a long period of many years, along with the economical development in the Chinese society and the improvement in people’s material living standards, many people regarded pursuing money as the sole purpose in doing everything. At the same time, the difference between rich and poor in the society was getting bigger. The society’s level of ethics and morality declined in general. The mindset of greed, anger and ignorance became more prevalent. Although many people have enjoyed the abundance of money and began to realize the need of doing more charity and establishing merit and virtue, they still are not able to attain happiness of life and solve the problems of living, aging, suffering from illness and death. I also entered into deep pondering at the same time. However, my consciousness and my instinct told me that only entering deeply into Buddhism can quest and pursue the meaning of human life and the fundamental truth of the universe so as to further elevate living beings’ state of mind, selflessly help people, and benefit others to attain transcendental liberation. Thus, I took enlightening myself and benefiting others as my responsibility and mission and, at the same time of running the enterprise, began learning Buddhism and studying the theory of Buddhism and started the long journey of questing for Buddha-dharma.
Because I was in Beijing, there were relatively more opportunities and affinities of meeting eminent monks and great virtuous ones as well as dharma kings and rinpoches. I visited and paid respect to many monasteries and temples. I read many Buddhist books and also listened to discourses and teaching of the dharma by many eminent monks and great virtuous ones in both China and abroad. However, all these still could not solve and eliminate the doubt and confusion in my mind. Could the so-called approach to liberation by Buddha-dharma only be chanting sutras, reciting the Buddha’s name, doing work related to Buddhism, performing charitable deeds, and pursuing the so-called enlightening one’s mind and seeing the self nature without the realization of any holy state? Could Buddha-dharma be just the confusingly vague, non-visible and non-existent theories about Buddha-dharma that those eminent monks and great virtuous ones talked about? Could the essence of Buddha-dharma be only in the preaching at the spiritual level that provides people with psychological counseling and peace of mind? Those eminent monks and great virtuous ones can give discourses on the dharma in very vivid and pleasing ways; however, did they attain liberation themselves? Did they see their self nature? Did they transform their mundane bodies into holy bones? In the end, can they ascend to the Western World of Ultimate Bliss and end the cycle of birth and death for themselves? Could the many dharmas of liberation that the Buddha expounded be these hollow theories without any true realization? Could the boundless power of Buddha-dharma, ending the cycle of birth and death, and the Western World of Ultimate Bliss be just empty words or fairy tales? Could it be that Sakyamuni Buddha lied to deceive living beings? No, that is impossible! There must be true Buddha-dharma in this human world. However, where is true Buddha-dharma? …
Until one day, I listened to the recorded dharma lessons of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. I was deeply absorbed in. The logic of Buddha-dharma was expounded in such ways of explaining profound ideas in plain language, clarity plus transparency, and unimpeded perfect proficiency. Each syllable was as awakening as an explosive thunder. Every sentence pointed directly to my mind! The subtle wonders of Buddha-dharma were derived and depicted in thoroughly vivid ways, leading to true emptiness and wonderful existence as well as the measurement of realization and manifestation of the state! … Wow! That truly and absolutely proved the genuineness and reality of the various facts and stories recorded in sutras! My closed mindset was instantly opened up. I could not refrain from giving spontaneous praise! Hey! Only this is the real true dharma from Sakyamuni Buddha! Only this is the true Buddha-dharma that I have been looking for and questing for! Only He is the master I should take refuge in! My Master, I finally found You!
However, finding the gate to the true dharma and being able to personally meet and take refuge in the Buddha are two entirely different matters. I heard that even some people who were in the close proximity still did not get the opportunity after more than ten years. I also heard that many people beseeched and paid respect to many great rinpoches, dharma kings, and dharma masters seeking introduction and recommendation for taking refuge with the Buddha without success. This was due to some people who tended to put cultivators under their control. However, they themselves did not have the true ability to lead people to transcendental liberation. There is no need to elaborate in detail on causes and reasons here. As time was passing day by day, although I was anxious in my mind with the hope of taking refuge in the true dharma early, all I could do was waiting for the right cause and affinity.
2. Taking Refuge in Buddhism
Perhaps it was due to the coming together of the right causes and affinities or it was just a miracle created by a sincere heart. While I was constructing a Buddha hall in my company, my good friend Mr. Liu Zhanmian introduced me to a gentleman, Mr. Xie Tianhong. With Mr. Xie Tianhong’s guidance and introduction, I became a disciple of Hengsheng Rinpoche, who is a disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Master Hengsheng Rinpoche fulfilled my wish. After the journey of many years of questing for the dharma, I finally entered the door of the dharma. The feelings of joy, sorrow, happiness and being moved by the sense of having a reliance filled up my mind. My master kindly told me, “Yukai, I will soon make the arrangement of bringing you to the United States to meet the true Buddha. Once you get there, you will know that your causation there will be even more magnificent and inconceivable. You will not be able to imagine the Buddha’s great, majestic, correct and impartial enlightenment!”
In this way, I soon had the opportunity of being accepted as a disciple by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Of course, the dharma joy and magnificence I experienced are indescribable. I can only tell everyone that the Buddha’s genuine power and holy realization are so wonderful as to beyond the description in languages … !
On the day of my taking refuge, the Buddha Master seriously told me, “Yukai, you should remember. You are not Gongga Zhunba of esoteric Buddhism. Nor are you an exoteric Buddhist. You are a disciple of all Buddhas in the ten directions. You are a Buddhist and belong to the Buddha’s sect, which is Buddhism and not any sect. Sakyamuni Buddha did not divide any sects at that time. The so-called this sect and that school were created by patriarch masters of later times. In the future, you all will also create some sects. That would be uncontrollably the results of causation at that time. However, everything must be for benefiting living beings. Yukai, you are already 60 years old. You should work hard and seize the time to cultivate with delay.”
3. The Cause of This Offering
I will speak truly from the bottom of my heart. From the beginning, I heard from the recorded dharma lessons and read from books that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III does not accept any offering and only serves the public voluntarily for free. To tell the truth, I did not believe that there existed a Buddhist master who did not accept offerings. Although, in the treasure book of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, there are many true records and real evidences that stated the fact that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III does not accept offerings. However, I was still thinking that maybe small amounts of money were not accepted. I could not believe that money in the amount of several millions; ten millions or one hundred millions would not be accepted. If so, I would think that such a great person never existed in the world, or at least I did not see one.
Actually, the word “offering” is not that unfamiliar to anyone. Looking at the whole world, any so-called holy virtuous one, rinpoche, dharma master accepts and takes offerings from disciples without exception. It can be stated that until now there has not been one who does not accept offerings! As to those false rinpoches, false dharma masters, and false lamas, nothing even needs to be said about them. They not only falsely use different excuses and various circumstances to broadly collect and take offerings. They may even put up a bad face if the offering is small. Some even use so-called lectures and speeches to sell admission tickets as a disguised mean of collecting offerings. In this world, for a simple matter of going to a temple and pay respect to the Buddha, you may not see a good greeting without giving enough offering. Finding a master to learn Buddhism would be really difficult if one does not have sufficient meritorious supplies to make offerings! Look at the current situation of so many selfish desires and greed in the Buddhist circle in this dharma-ending era and compare with the unselfish and dust-free holiness of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Isn’t that a very good and realistic contrast? Because of these personal experiences and affect of mine, I was able to know that, in today’s earthly world, there is such a truly great Buddha who does not accept any offering regardless of how large the amount of money is. There is only one true Buddha who is wholeheartedly benefits living beings and propagating the correct dharma in this human world.
Of course, I do not have the intention of pretending to make an offering after hearing that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III does not accept any offering. If so, that would be deceiving the Buddha and deceiving all people. No good consequence can come out of that! Even a tiny bit of lie is not allowed in the true acts of learning Buddhism and cultivation. Opportunistic tricks are even further away from having any effect. Buddha-dharma cannot be won by deception and can only be obtained by using one’s genuine mind and concrete cultivation. Moreover, gods are always watching us from a close distance above. The god of cause and effect as well as the patrolling dharma-protecting holy deities are always viewing and observing all our thoughts, speeches and actions. If you want to commit fraud, you had better go and learn false Buddha-dharma! However, then will there be any reward and accomplishment from true Buddha-dharma?
Actually, the motive leading to our decision of making the offering was very simple. In order to look for and quest for the correct dharma, I spent many tough years of exploring and searching. After the three times of meeting the Buddha, I am deeply aware of the vast favor from the Buddha. The Buddha’s boundlessly great compassion and the supreme enlightenment in the universe cannot be achieved by any other holy one. Now, our minds have stayed at the right place. Our lives can count on the reliance we have. What would be the use of keeping the money and wealth? Why don’t we donate that to serve a constructive purpose in the mission of propagating the dharma and benefiting living beings! At the time of cultivating and learning the dharma book of the cultivation part of The Supreme And Unsurpassable Mahamudra Of Liberation, I deeply felt: Isn’t this the Buddha-dharma that Buddhas and Bodhisattvas rely on for cultivating and advancing on the great expedient path that directly leads to enlightenment! What kind of good fortune do we have now! In this lifetime, we were able to meet the true Buddha staying in this world who brought such a magnificent great dharma for living beings to attain accomplishment. As humble Buddhist disciples, if we donate our limited meritorious supplies as offering to our kind Buddha Master to let these meritorious supplies be directed by the Buddha Master to have an even larger effect in propagating the dharma and benefiting living beings, what a great practical significance would there be!
After discussion, my wife and I decided to donate, from our stock holdings in our enterprises, a net asset of 126 million yuans as meritorious supplies for the Buddha Master to use in propagating the dharma and benefiting living beings.
We prepared the letter of offering, signed and stamped with fingerprints. We happily presented it to the Buddha Master. The Buddha Master asked, “You offered your assets to me. How do you live on afterwards?”
I Replied, “We earn our salaries. We have a very good home to live in. Every time we came to America to see You, we always asked our office to buy the lowest-priced, discounted economic tickets. We also stayed in the cheapest motel of $50 per night. Our life is really very simple. We do not need that much money for ourselves.”
The Buddha Master spoke earnestly, “Yukai, you two have a sincere heart of making the offering to me for benefiting living beings. I already accepted that. Dharma-protecting Bodhisattvas all saw that too. However, I will not accept even a penny from your offering. Neither will I accept your offering on behalf of any temple or monastery. Simply speaking, I will never accept even a penny!” The Buddha Master also wrote His statements of decision on our letter of offering.
The Buddha Master also said, “You must run your enterprise well and make it larger and stronger to serve the society and serve living beings. Over 4,000 workers are still counting on you for their livelihood. That is also benefiting living beings. Also, Yukai, you should listen to me. What you have today is also the reward from your cultivation. You two are also living beings. You should take good care of yourselves. Do no evils and do all that is good. That is also benefiting living beings and is also making offering to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! You don’t need to offer me any money, do you know? If you cultivate well and benefit living beings in everything you do, I will teach you! However, I will not accept your offering. I do not accept anyone’s offering! Also, neither will I take the offering to do things for the furtherance of Buddhism on your or anyone’s behalf. My things of furthering Buddhism are letting you learn and cultivate according to the two Great Mind Essences, reading and understanding Expounding the Fundamental Truth in terms of the Heart Sutra and What Is Cultivation. I never give anyone permission for accepting offerings on my behalf. Also, no one is in a position of accepting offerings on my behalf. If anyone accepts offerings on my behalf, there must be deception involved.”
While we were listening to the kind Buddha Master’s discourse and feeling the Buddha Master’s utmost supreme state of realm, kindness, and loving compassion, we were not able to say anything but moved to tears. How great is our kind Buddha Master who is unselfish and never has any thought about oneself …! Nonetheless, the Buddha Master did not accept the offering we made from the eighth consciousness in our minds. What could we do?
However, our vow of offering has been made and cannot vanish like empty words. This offering no longer belongs to us personally. All we can do is taking good care in its management and operation on behalf of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. It is quite clear that the Buddha Master will definitely not accept this offering. Then we will spend it on matters that further Buddhism with the correct knowledge and effects and on endeavors that truly benefit living beings.
Below are the photocopies of our letter of offering with the Buddha Master’s written decision and the vow we made once again in front of the Buddha. Both are for viewing by the public.
Letter of Offering
We prostrate to our Buddha Master, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, with auspicious wishes for your success!
Buddhist disciples: Liu Yukai and Zhu Yaqin
The two of us as husband and wife now decided to offer our stock holdings in our enterprises to our Buddha Master, for use by the endeavor of propagating the dharma and benefiting living beings.
We know that our Buddha Master you never accept anyone’s offering. However, our offering is a meritorious supply for you to use in the undertaking of propagating the dharma and benefiting living beings. You, our Buddha Master, represent the truly great Buddha-dharma in the Dharma Sphere. Your stationing in this earthly world to correct the dharma and propagate the dharma is due to the causality of great events and is the good fortune and reward for living beings. As disciples, it is our inherent duty to make our little effort.
We are ashamed that we do not have the ability of virtue and realization to save and transform living beings. We can only contribute our three karmas of body, speech and mind as well as the little meritorious supply as offering to our Buddha Master and all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, so as to maximize the effect of this limited contribution in propagating the dharma and benefiting living beings. Our wish is not to waste this opportunity of our Buddha Master being present in our earthly world, not to waste our good fortune and merit of meeting the true dharma in this lifetime and, more importantly, not to waste the vow of the two of us for propagating the dharma and benefiting living beings.
Our lives were born for living beings. We will wholeheartedly propagate and spread the Buddha Master’s true Buddha-dharma. We must cultivate ourselves even more diligently, enlighten ourselves as well as others, and attain the perfect accomplishment of practice to pay the debt of gratitude to the Buddha.
We promise that, at the same time of propagating the dharma and benefiting living beings, we will serve as managers to manage and operate these businesses well, so as to serve the society and our employees and provide a sustained and effective guarantee of supply for the endeavor of propagating the dharma and benefiting living beings.
We hold stocks and rights in the following three enterprises:
1. Asian Tean Industrial Limited in Hong Kong
2. Pan-America Clothing Company Limited in Beijing
3. Pan-America Clothing Company Limited in Hebei
We sincerely offer the net assets of ours in these three enterprises. The net worth of the stock holdings is 126 million yuans. We will transfer the asset of these stock holdings mentioned in this offering to You, our Buddha Master or to any individual or organization You designate, as an offering to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to be used as a meritorious supply in propagating the dharma and benefiting living beings. We, as husband and wife, have made our vow. Our genuine mind is open to holy gods and deities. We will never regret. The heaven can be our witness. May all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas clearly see our intention!

Prostrate respectfully, September 27, 2011
The Statement of Decision that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Wrote on the Letter of Offering:
Disciples Yukai and Yaqin,
You sincerely presented your offering for benefiting living beings. However, I made my vow long ago that I would only benefit living beings for free as my duty and would not accept any offering in my entire lifetime. Therefore, I will not accept any of the money you presented.
I wish you prosperity in your business, early realization of true accomplishment, and benefiting and bringing happiness to sentient beings.
Hand written by your master, Dorje Chang III
Humble disciples, Liu Yukai and Zhu Yaqin, make this vow facing all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas:
We, disciples Liu Yukai and Zhu Yaqin, made the vow to offer our assets of stock holdings to our kind Buddha Master for use in propagating the dharma and benefiting living beings. However, the Buddha Master firmly declined the offering from us. We were very moved but had to take back the entire offering. However, we made our vow and cannot let the vow become false and empty. Therefore, we decided:
Although the kind Buddha Master did not accept this offering, we will definitely use it in benefiting living beings and helping holy Buddhists who truly possess the true dharma of Tathagata and great loving compassion, and selflessly benefit others. Our doing so will also inform people the loving compassion of the kind Buddha Master. The human life is hard to come by and the true dharma is difficult to encounter. We are extremely fortunate in this lifetime to meet the kind Buddha Master who is teaching and transforming living beings in this world. We will certainly live up to the kindness of the Buddha, cultivate and practice diligently to attain holy fruits, and transform and save living beings to thank the kindness of the Buddha Master.
Here is the song of vow from us, as humble Buddhist disciples:
Gongga Zhunba is sixty years old now.
The Buddha personally ferried me into the door of Buddhism.
We will cultivate along the Buddha’s path to fulfill our cherished wishes.
The mission of transforming living beings is also tied to our thinking.
The kind Buddha Master’s true Buddha-dharma is a miraculous treasure.
The Supreme And Unsurpassable Mahamudra Of Liberation turns the dharma wheel.
Love, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity are our boundless determination.
We will apply charity to sentient beings to let them listen to the true dharma.
Propagating the dharma and benefiting living beings are responsibilities on our shoulder.
Diligent cultivation of concentration and wisdom must start from the root of abiding by precepts.
The eight fundamental right views and the seven branches of bodhicitta are the basis of our conduct.
The mind should remain compassionate even when subduing evildoers and expelling demons.
The kind Buddha Master’s loving compassion sustains our lives.
We will directly march toward enlightenment to thank the Master’s kindness.
We will bear the dark karmas of ourselves as well as others.
We are willing to give up our bodies to benefit living beings.
Humble Buddhist disciples, Liu Yukai, Zhu Yaqin
(signatures and fingerprints)
We are grateful to the kind Buddha Master’s benefiting all living beings selflessly!
We made this vow in front of the Buddha,
December 15, 2011
There are several additional reasons for my writing this open letter:
First, I would like to share with fellow Buddhists and people in the world the enlightenment practice that is truly free of worldly interest and the utmost supreme holy character of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. It is living beings’ good fortune that such a holy virtuous one is in today’s world! The human life is hard to come by and the true dharma is difficult to encounter. With the reliance on the Buddha’s presence in the world in the current lifetime due to the causality of great events and with the reliance on the illumination by the Buddha-dharma of The Supreme And Unsurpassable Mahamudra Of Liberation, how could we all Buddhist disciples not cultivate and practice diligently! May we all attain great accomplishment in this lifetime! May all living beings gain great liberation!
Second, let those so-called great dharma masters and great rinpoches who are indulging in self-gratification and seeking the limelight do a good self examination and illumination: what is a holy virtuous one like! H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III possesses perfect proficiency in both exoteric Buddhism and esoteric Buddhism and the Five Vidyas at the acme of perfection. His accomplishments are unprecedented in history. However, with a selfless mind, He is constantly applying loving compassion to living beings and propagating Buddha-dharma to benefit living beings. Moreover, He does not accept any offering from living beings. What kind of holy virtuous one He is!
Third, call upon those Buddhist cultivators who have already been deluded by those so-called dharma kings, rinpoches, and dharma masters who do not have any realization to speak of and can only talk about hollow theories: you should think seriously. The lifetime of a human being will elapse fast. Time is like a flying arrow. Do not waste your lives that are approaching impermanence and the precious time. You should distinguish true and false early, take refuge in the true dharma as soon as possible, and enter the door leading to liberation early, so as to attain enlightenment.
Fourth, solemnly inform those practitioners of devilish ways who have ulterior motives: our Buddha is compassionate. If you can abandon your evil thoughts, cultivate and practice the true dharma, clearly believe in the law of cause and effect, give up evil and return to good, and benefit living beings, you can still attain enlightenment immediately.
While I was writing this letter, some good friends of mine and fellow Buddhists advised me that it would be best if I did not do this. Otherwise the writing might bring something non-beneficial to me. My reply was, “My belief is that only demonic evildoers with evil knowledge and views would do something non-beneficial to me. What is wrong with my speaking from the bottom of my heart and stating the fact?” The Buddha is truly so great. In comparison to this holiest Buddha, I dare say that there is no second such extremely holy being in the world! I am speaking openly and frankly from an unselfish perspective. I am describing the true circumstances and real situations for benefiting everyone. Is there anything wrong with seeking truth from facts? Isn’t everything witnessed by people with justice, kindness, and correct knowledge and views? Could they do anything non-beneficial to me? That is impossible!
I am a cultivator and have reached the age of 60. How could it possibly be that I still do not clearly believe in the law of cause and effect? Therefore, I still decided to ask the International Buddhism Sangha Association to forward this writing of mine.
A humble Buddhist disciple, Liu Yukai,
