The Xuanfa Institute is a nonprofit, international organization founded by Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche to propagate the correct Buddha-dharma as taught by Shakyamuni Buddha and His teacher, Dorje Chang Buddha. This Buddha-dharma can liberate living beings from the sufferings of this world and enable those who practice this Buddha-dharma and cultivate themselves in accord with the dharma to realize the good fortune and wisdom needed to become a Buddha. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III came to this world to correct the errors and omissions that have resulted from incorrect translations and transmissions made by patriarch translators that have happened since the time of Shakyamuni Buddha and to transmit dharma that is appropriate for our age and time. Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche is a close disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and personally transmits these great dharmas that are suitable for our times.
“Xuanfa” means to propagate the dharma. The Xuanfa Institute has developed an international network of affiliated dharma centers, institutes, temples, and retreat centers where people can learn and practice the correct dharma. Rinpoche serves as spiritual advisor to these facilities.
This website contains a wealth of information about H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, the dharma that He transmits, and the holy manifestations that He or His disciples have exhibited along with preliminary translations of the official announcements, statements, validations, and other communications from the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, the International Buddhism Sangha Association (IBSA), and the United International World Buddhism Association Headquarters (UIWBAH). Since so much material has been collected, it is a bit difficult to access and maintain and very difficult to redesign so as to be more easily accessible with the various mobile devises so popular today. Instead, a second (mobile-friendly) website was established that takes the most important information and redesigns the pages to be easily read on mobile phones and tablets as well as laptops and more conventional computers. It stresses what one needs to know to actually learn and practice the Buddha-Dharma and provides current schedules of the activities of the temples and retreat centers that are part of and/or being planned to serve those who follow or want to follow the true path of the Buddhas. These Xuanfa Institute sponsored facilities are places where practitioners can come and stay for short or extended periods of time and learn and practice the correct dharma of Shakyamuni Buddha and His teacher Dorje Chang Buddha to become enlightened. The Institute will also offer an online distant learning university whereby one can study and train in several academic and certificate programs.
Therefore, this website will now serve as the archives for all that has happened since H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha came to America (and a few events from before) and continues to maintain and update the official announcements mentioned above along with a collection of photo albums that document the progress to date of the Institute and other information. However, the website of the Holy Vajrasana Temple and Retreat Centers will be the main site for all new activity and offer a synopsis of many of the most critical events from the past as well. It will also be easily accessible by cell phone and other mobile devises and will have a Chinese version as well as related websites in German and Vietnamese that feature much of the same materials. These websites are the work of Gongjue Tuji Rinpoche in Germany and Rangxi Sangbo Rinpoche in Vietnam, both disciples of Zhaxi Zhuoma, the abbot of the Holy Vajrasana Temple and the president of the Xuanfa Institute.
