Many terms are given in Sanskrit, since there is really no equivalent term yet in English. Where known, the Tibetan, Pali, Chinese Pin-yin, and other versions of the term may also be given, usually in parenthesis. Although many of the definitions are from translations of discourses and writings given by His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III , this glossary has not been reviewed by this holy being so that we cannot consider these to be “definitive” definitions. Only very simple and oft times incomplete explanations can be offered here as a reference to hopefully help the reader gain a little insight and understanding. This glossary as well as most of the other content of this web-site is a “work in progress” that will be revised and refined as appropriate. The major texts containing discourses by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III are referenced on the Holy Vajrasana Temple website and should be used as a more accurate reference, but even so may be subject to translation errors and omissions.
