Although those of us who are the closest disciples of Master Wan Ko Yee knew that our Buddha Master was a great Buddha and no ordinary Dharma King, we did not know His true identity until quite recently. Looking back, there were many clues that should have prepared us. We knew this holy Buddha was the Vajradhara or supreme leader of all Buddhism of this age. We knew that our Buddha Master is a man of boundless compassion and wisdom and that His supernormal powers were amazing. We also knew that everything He did He did to help living beings.
As early as 2003, Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche actually saw Master Wan Ko Yee transform into the brilliant blue Buddha Vajradhara, but still did not know that this was the true identity of her Buddha Master. In later years, she also saw him transform from an old, battered and bruised man to a handsome youth. Others witnessed this on other occasions as well.
When asked about His lineage, He would simply say that His lineage was the lineage of Shakyamuni Buddha or more often refuse to even answer the question. Many, many times the rinpoche would put together lineage charts that she thought were correct only to have them summarily dismissed. Now, we all understand why. Our Buddha Master started asking us, “You don’t know who I am, do you?” Late one night after Zhaxi Zhuoma had gone home and was ready for bed, one of the disciples called her to tell her that she had just been instructed to ask her that question again. Recently the Buddha Master gave a series of discourses on “What Is My Sect?” in which this matter was explained quite thoroughly, telling us that the Buddha Master was of the “Buddha sect,” but still did not reveal His identity.
As we worked to prepare the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III for printing, a few of us were told, but sworn to strictest secrecy. An early manuscript of the book had been submitted to the greatest and most accomplished leaders of Buddhism in the world today. These were incarnations of arhats and very high Bodhisattvas who had the wisdom and power to be able to answer the question as to just who our Buddha Master is. Using proper dharma methods they entered into deep samadhi or journeyed to other realms and found the answer. What they found and reported to the world was that our beloved Buddha Master was in fact the third incarnation in our world of Dorje Chang Himself! Only one other time had Dorje Chang assumed a nirmanakaya form and come to this world and that was over 2,500 years ago when He manifested as the great layman Vimalakirti to help Shakyamuni Buddha teach His disciples. Our Master is Dorje Chang Buddha III!
Dorje Chang Buddha III is the true Vajradhara or supreme leader of all Buddhism of this age. This great holy Buddha came back to these degenerate times to teach the correct dharma and show living beings how to escape the suffering and unhappiness of worldly existence and to attain complete liberation from the cycle of reincarnation. The Buddha Master is a man of boundless compassion and wisdom. Based on the precise principles of the Buddha-dharma, Dorje Chang Buddha III teaches people in every day language the compassion and wisdom obtained through cultivation. The wisdom of the Buddha Master excels that of all previous masters in history. One after another event proves this to be totally true. The book H.H. All either identified our Buddha Master as Dorje Chang III or affirmed the process by which His identity was determined and validated the authenticity of those who issued the certificates. It also includes 30 categories of remarkable achievements that demonstrate the Holiest Tathagatha’s accomplishments in the five holy vidyas including mastery of the Buddha-dharma.
We knew that our Buddha Master had mastered both the Tripitaka and Tantras and could easily transform the unfamiliar terminology and often difficult to understand language of the Buddhist sutras or scriptures into language that each and every living being could understand as soon as they heard it, no matter their level. No wonder, for all of the dharmas originated with Dorje Chang. It should not have been surprising to find that our Buddha Master’s speech is always completely in accord with the truth of the sutras and reflects Shakyamuni Buddha’s intention. Shakyamuni Buddha, when He taught on this earth 2500 years ago, was also like this. Shakyamuni Buddha had, after all, learned the Dharma from Dipankara Buddha, an ancient nirmanakaya manifestation of Dorje Chang from another world system.
Shakyamuni Buddha taught the holy dharma in the language and at the level of those hearing it. That is why it is said He taught 84,000 different dharmas. Some may read these various teachings and find them contradictory, but that is not so. Taken in the larger perspective as expedient devices to help individuals progress based on their unique karmic conditions, they are all correct dharmas.
Today, even true bodhisattvas are hindered in expounding the dharma because of the maturing of the collective bad karma of living beings and the fact that the demonic powers are so strong. It is very difficult for the bodhisattvas to exhibit their powers. Therefore, the Buddha-dharma is waning, and people are not becoming believers. Even if people become believers, they still often become wrong-doers or follow evil ways deviating from true Buddhism and embracing false Buddha-dharmas. If people hear only theory, they will not believe.
H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has come to this Dharma-ending age to demonstrate the real power of the Buddha-dharma. Many times we have heard our Buddha Master give discourses on the dharma platform. The Buddha has said that He can answer any question asked Him on any subject. Many of us ask difficult questions including some that are very bizarre, yet our Buddha Master effortlessly expounds the truth. It always happens like this! He came to this realm to reestablish the correct dharma of the Tathagatha, Shakyamuni Buddha. Although this Buddha is a very humble person, in our hearts we always knew He was the true Vajradhara. Now we have evidence and confirmation of this by the highest living arahats and Bodhisattvas alive today. After you have read of his powers, wisdom, and compassion and see the heartfelt messages of other holy beings, you can decide for yourself just who this Holy Being is.
H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in the five classic vidyas: healing, art and technology, writing and speech, logic, and inner science (See “exhibitions” and the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III). Followers of this Holy Being have achieved international recognition and also reached very high levels of accomplishment. His disciples include high-ranking governmental officials, scholars, actors, musicians, artists, innovators, bankers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, and people from all walks of life. Animals and beings from other realms have also taken refuge with and paid homage to this great master.
H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III (Master Wan Ko Yee) has used art to teach and demonstrate the meaning of the Buddha-dharma in a universal language that needs no translation. Dorje Chang Buddha III, although His Holiness is a very modest man and does not claim to have special powers. There is no doubt that there is no one else alive today who can compare to His level of realization! After all He is the greatest Buddha in the entire universe!

Of all the famous dharma kings in history, none have reached the levels that are shown here. Not only is this great holy Buddha amazing, but the Buddha can empower His disciples to do amazing things as well. We have evidence that many of his followers have achieved full liberation from the cycle of birth and death! In the spring of 2005, one disciple completed a twenty-seven day very high level meditation retreat where he remained in Samadhi and did not take food or water for over three weeks! This was after receiving a special empowerment, which H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III says was exactly like what was practiced by Shakyamuni Buddha 2,500 years ago when He became enlightened. This is the first time this particular dharma has been transmitted in this world.
All of Dorje Chang Buddha III’s astonishing accomplishments are due to His profound knowledge and high morals, as well as his selfless, holy, and enlightened state of mind. After all, He is a Buddha! The Buddha has said that anyone can achieve these levels if they cultivate themselves properly by maintaining strict ethics, training their mind in concentration, and developing their innate wisdom.
