Disciple Bhikkhu Gunaratana recently attended the Second Annual Buddha Puzaniya Ceremony at the Lokachantha Pagoda located at 63 Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan, New Jersey. A “puzaniya” is an annual Burmese ceremony to commemorate the consecration of a pagoda or stupa. Construction on this pagoda complex was started in 2005 by the American Burmese Buddhist Association (ABBA) with the pagoda itself being completed early in 2007. The complex is still under construction. A rendering of the complete proposed project in shown below.
