Spectacular Dharma Wheels (orbs) appeared as a yurt was erected. They were so thick that they appeared like a cloud around the yurt frame and the disciple responsible for the yurt construction. A rainbow even appeared inside the yurt.
After it was announced that a temple would be built near Sanger, California, for the purpose of conducting long-term retreats and a stupa erected to honor the coming to America of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and disciples started coming to work on projects to make this happen, strange and wondrous sights appeared at the Xuanfa Institute.
It started with the manifestation of Dharma Wheel Mandalas or “orbs” and mysterious lights appearing on many photos taken of the work that was being done at the Institute..

On November 4, 2010, a magnificent Buddha Light filled the sky. It is shown here. It lasted all day and was very beautiful. Many people saw it in the Fresno area. It was even reported on the local news. Once a disciple looked up and saw a rainbow in the sky overhead outside the range of the Buddha Light. Other rainbows appeared in the sky as well and some disciples saw the Buddha Light repeatedly during the following week. A couple of weeks later, a very beautiful multiple color Buddha Light appeared around the almost full moon. When a disciple called Rinpoche to report the Buddha Light, she could not see it at first, but instead she saw four moons together like disks in the sky, a most unusual phenomena. The multiple moons were a sign that four very important beings would come to the Institute.

However, it was on November 8 that the most amazing event occurred. There was a discussion concerning the removal of a pole remaining from the former chain link fence that had been part of the old shed. Suddenly the pole started shaking violently—like a giant tuning fork. It was not removed. Over the next couple of months this pole and two others shook or quaked. The poles had become Vajra Poles and were used by the dharma protectors to make their presence known. This was a most auspicious event and a sign of how pleased they were with the plans for the area and what the disciples were doing there.
