Public Announcement No. 20170108–Exam Incidents

By | March 18, 2017

Since the World Buddhism Association Headquarters (WBAH) made the announcement that the examination in the holy realm had already ended, we have received some communications with questions and reported incidents. Regarding some important questions raised therein, we at WBAH now provide a serious answer of a definitive nature.

First, we must clearly point out that, among the more than 1,000 people who took the examination in the holy realm in the form of battle positions, there isn’t one Bodhisattva at the eighth or higher stage. The reason is very simple. Anyone who is a Bodhisattva at the eighth or higher stage would not need to take the examination in the holy realm because he or she would be a great holy virtuous one who passed at the level of Golden Button Grade 3 or higher long ago!

Secondly, no one who passed the examination at grade levels of blue button(s) can use the title of holy virtuous one. Anyone who is a reincarnated Bodhisattva or Arhat must pass at a level of golden button(s)!!!

To clarify the fact, WBAH must seriously point out a kind of misleading statement that we heard, regardless of whether it is made by a master or a master’s disciples. Such a statement claims that a so-and-so master is a Bodhisattva at a certain stage or higher but did not make a full effort due to being modest and purposely only passed the examination at a grade level of blue button(s). Some even said that a so-and-so master is a great holy virtuous one and possesses the ability of conducting inner-tantric initiations but spared some effort in the examination to pass as a blue-button holy virtuous one this time with the consideration of taking care of other masters’ faces. So this master deliberately avoided passing at a higher grade level of golden button(s). There also exist other variations of such statements. Actually, such claims are simply self-contradictory. The reality was that they all felt very bad when they failed. Otherwise why did they all make more attempts? In the end, they used up all the energy they had but still failed on the same level they had fallen on the first try! Those who made up such statements or help to spread the lies are absolutely demons in human form. They committed the sin of icchantika and will definitely bring malicious retributions to themselves, since doing so is a direct insult toward Dharma Prince Manjushri, who is the master of seven Buddhas!

You all should clearly understand a fact. To all candidates taking the examination in the holy realm, Manjushri Bodhisattva adheres to the same principle, regardless of whether one upholds an attitude of striving to advance as much as possible or an attitude of modesty and having some effort spared. The Bodhisattva does not look at what attitude you have when taking the examination. Before Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, no private feeling or consideration will take effect. That was why a couplet was written at the gate to the battle position, stating “Each grade will show as such without any elevation; the number of ounces will be weighed exactly without one extra.” Another couplet displayed there says, “What is true is not false, moving Mount Tai is like carrying a tray; what is false is not true, getting undeserved grade is more difficult than climbing to the sky.” If a master who is supposedly a Bodhisattva at a certain stage took the examination with some spared effort due to modesty, then what he or she did is effectively a shameless insult to Manjushri Bodhisattva! Starting from the beginning of the examination in the holy realm, the Manjushri Divination never errored on one person among the over 1,000 candidates taking the examination. The very reason is that the principle is absolutely correct and does not permit the slightest error. Even assuming that you personally intended to spare some effort to be modest in taking the examination, Manjushri Bodhisattva would still always uphold the principle to determine your level of cultivated accomplishment. The correct grade level will be shown, just like a weight scale showing the correct number of ounces. Anyone who thinks that the Bodhisattva can deviate from following the principle is a demonic villain who slanders Manjushri Bodhisattva!

People who took the examination in the holy realm all know the procedures that every candidate went through. At the site of examination, the examination taker (candidate) must first perform a Manjushri Divination by himself/herself. The result of divination was not to be seen by the candidate or anyone else. Next, the candidate would enter the battle position to take the examination. After finishing taking the examination, the candidate would open the divine box containing the Manjushri Divination to check whether the result of the Manjushri Divination and the result from the examination of going through the battle position are consistent. Subsequently, the seven holy ones and ten witnesses proctoring the examination at the site would take turns to also check whether the result of the Manjushri Divination and the result from the examination of going through the battle position are consistent. In such a scenario, only three (3) possible situations can occur:

  1. After performing the divination by oneself, the candidate entered the battle position to take the examination with an all-out effort and eventually fell inside to end the examination. At this time, the divine box containing the Manjushri Divination was opened to check the result. The result of the Manjushri Divination and the result from the examination of going through the battle position were always identical, proving that the candidate did not spare any effort.
  2. After performing the divination by oneself, the candidate entered the battle position to take the examination. After passing at a certain grade level, the candidate asked to stop and did not want to continue the examination. At this time, the divine box containing the Manjushri Divination was opened to check the result. If the result of the Manjushri Divination and the result from the examination of going through the battle position were identical, that means the candidate was at that level and could not reach a higher level. This fact also shows that the candidate did not spare any effort at all.
  3. After performing the divination by oneself, the candidate entered the battle position to take the examination. After passing at a certain grade level, the candidate asked to stop and did not want to continue the examination. At this time, the divine box containing the Manjushri Divination was opened to check the result. If, at this time, the grade level indicated by the Manjushri Divination was higher than the result from the examination of going through the battle position, that would mean the candidate spared some effort and thus did not reach his/her full potential, since Manjushri Bodhisattva only upholds the Buddha’s principle of speaking truthfully, speaking according to the facts, and not speaking anything untrue. Therefore, the divination could only show one’s actual grade level.

However, in all sessions of WBAH’s examination in the holy realm, the third situation never happened. That mean there wasn’t even one candidate who spared any effort!

Therefore, we now warn those charlatans and demonic villains. If you still do not repent and correct and still insist on exaggerating and fabricating false facts to spread lies to cheat people instead of being good people and carrying out good cultivation, your master or yourself will be called by name to take the examination through the Vajra Battle Position with the process recorded by video. Then people will all see how pitiable this person is!

All Buddhist disciples, boasting and deception can never make one become a holy virtuous one and, rather, will reveal the hidden nature of evil masters, charlatans, and demonic villains. Doing so is too stupid, too low, and too piteous! You all have to make an earnest effort to listen respectfully to the recorded dharma discourses expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, study well Learning from Buddha and Expounding the Absolute Truth through the Heart Sutra, always check oneself using the 128 views, follow the two great mind essences of the Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation, cultivate oneself in concrete actions and steps, abstain from everything that is evil and do all that is good, and practice well the Buddha-dharma transmitted from His Holiness the Buddha. This is the only path to truly become a holy virtuous one and attain liberation and accomplishment!
