Answer No. 10

An “inner-tantric mandala” has a time limitation. After the great holy virtuous one who established the mandala has entered nirvana for three years and three months, the “inner-tantric mandala” will become an ordinary mandala and will no longer possess inner-tantric empowerment. However, regarding a “Buddha hall of true Buddha-dharma” established in accord with the dharma by a master who has received an inner-tantric initiation, as long as the seed of the Buddha hall is preserved, even if the statues and images of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas worshipped therein have been replaced, the Buddha hall is still a “Buddha hall of true Buddha-dharma.” However, if statues or images of heretic deities have been worshipped therein, the Buddha hall will be contaminated and become ineffective.

Note: Buddha halls that have been consecrated and/or have objects of empowerment stored inside Buddha statues do not belong to “Buddha hall of true Buddha-dharma.”
