Now, many people are planning to come to the United States of America in June of this year, to celebrate H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s birthday (the day the Buddha was born in this world). H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III instructed this Office to issue this public announcement specifically regarding this matter. His Holiness the Buddha said,
“Today, I will mainly talk about the matter about my birthday. Whenever this matter is mentioned, I am very humbled. What virtue and ability do I have to accept your respect brought here after pilgrimaging thousands of miles? I hope that you do not come here again this year. You can release living beings from captivity or help lonely elderly people or those who are in hardship and need relief at your locality. As long as you are happy and delighted, that will truly be a celebration of my birthday!!”
“Also, perhaps I will travel outside this country in June and you may waste a trip by coming here. Then, how can I not feel sorry to you all? This will be especially true to those who come from outside this country. Among them, there will be people who are at the age of longevity but not in ideal health. Additionally, making such a trip may pressure you in your life and finance. Once you take all the trouble to come but I am not here, how can this situation be handled to have a good outcome?”
“As to your intention of cultivating yourself and learning from Buddha, you should follow The Most Excellent Enlightenment Emptiness-Practice Oceanic Mind Essence or Xiaman Most Excellent Oceanic Mind Essence in The Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation that has been published on the internet. If you truly practice according to one of the two mind essences and study, understand, make real use of the book Learning from Buddha, your good karmic affinity with the dharma will definitely mature and I will confer an initiation and transmit the dharma to you. I will not accept any offering from you, but I want you to benefit society, benefit the great masses, treat living beings with loving compassion, abstain from everything that is evil, and uphold and do all deeds that are good.”
