Statement #2

By | January 18, 2009

After the publication and circulation of the treasure book H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, we at the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III have received many letters and phone calls from practitioners and readers. They reported many types of benefits and improvements that they acquired after reading the Treasure Book of True Buddha-Dharma.  Examples include:   Curing of chronic diseases and sufferings or disappearing of the symptoms of cancer in just a few days;Resolution of long-term disputes; Peace and harmony within family; Filial obedience of kids and improvement in their study scores and grades; Realization of higher state, acquiring supernormal abilities or other notable benefits from practice; Arrival of new baby to elderly parent(s); Younger appearance; Unexpected promotion at work place; and so on. From reading their letters and observing their expression of joy, we feel happy for them. Our office likes to congratulate them on the progress they made from following the teaching of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. At the same time, we must remind the practitioners who wrote the letter that what you obtained now is not the goal of cultivation. The purpose of our first step is to cut off the attachment (adherence) to ourselves, benefit living beings from the foundation of great compassion, and let the world be full of joy and prosperity. Only then can we establish the state of bodhihood and step toward happiness without suffering, liberation and eternal happiness.

Your rewards are certainly worthy of celebration. On the other hand, we are also deeply concerned that your mind is set on the auspicious phenomena without knowing the true essence of Buddha-dharma. More importantly, while you are praising the treasure book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, at the same time, you may have committed the act of unconsciously slandering and insulting H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and Sakyamuni Buddha.

Please all think carefully. Isn’t it true that you have been reading treasure books of true Buddha-dharma and listening to the treasure dharma lessons for years? If you have read the books of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III such as Commentaries on the Heart of Prajna Paramita Sutra andCorrections to the Treatises of Patriarch Master Bodhidharma and if you have read the twelve classic sutras from the Tripitaka such as the Diamond Sutra and the Avatamsaka Sutra, aren’t these all treasure books of true Buddha-dharma?  Every book of Buddha is a treasure book of true Buddha-dharma. How can you think that you started to read the Treasure Book of True Buddha-dharma after the publication of the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III?  If you just say the Treasure Book of True Buddha Dharma without specifically mentioning which book, isn’t this an insult to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and Sakyamuni Buddha?  Aren’t the dharma lessons discoursed by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III all these years treasure books of true Buddha-dharma?  How can you regard the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III as the only treasure book of true Buddha-dharma? Please be aware. Such saying or view is really an act of insulting the Buddha, caused by one’s negative karma of ignorance. Every dharma, every book has its own unique name. If you generally state “I learn the treasure book of true Buddha-dharma,” nobody can understand which book you are referring to.

In summary, we hope that everyone cultivates, through one’s deeds, according to the dharma of “What Is Cultivation?” taught by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and understands and realizes, from the very purpose, the discourse of “Sutra on Understanding and Realizing the Definite Truth” by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.

Please note. The book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is true Buddha-dharma but the book’s name is not the Treasure Book of True Buddha Dharma. The name is H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. The book is called a treasure book of true Buddha-dharma because it is a true treasure book. Believers with good intention, please stop being ridiculous and adding to your negative karma of ignorance.

The Office of H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, August 10, 2009 (Revised July 15, 2011)
