The Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

During the last few days, some people reported to Our Office (the Office) that Xiangge Qiongwa Rinpoche and Long Zhou Rinpoche had said that the name of their temple was determined after reporting to and beseeching instruction from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Their questions were: Did His Holiness the Buddha name the temple right after they had reported? Why didn’t His Holiness the Buddha name our temple?

Actually, what they said is incorrect, because H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III will not name any temple, not to mention naming any dharma-listening center. Also, until now, His Holiness the Buddha has not recognized any person as a Rinpoche. The real fact on that day was:

Xiangge Qiongwa Rinpoche and Long Zhou Rinpoche came to the Office and reported the situation about their temple. They showed photos of stupa-shaped clouds and beseeched H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to name their temple. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III declined on the spot and did not give them a name. After they had beseeched repeatedly, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III said, “You name the temple yourself and decide on an appropriate name. I will write an inscription for you after the temple is built.” This is the fact.

According to Long Zhou Rinpoche, at the time of signing the contract to purchase the land for building the temple, they saw the stupa appear in the sky above the temple. A moving image of Kuan Yin Bodhisattva also appeared on top of the stupa. They saw very clearly Kuan Yin Bodhisattva’s complete body, face, and even eyebrows and eyes. The Bodhisattva’s appearance was extremely solemn and dignified! However, because they were so excited and prostrated immediately, they did not take photos right away. When they realized what they should do and began taking pictures, the visage of Kuan Yin Bodhisattva almost disappeared. Still, a faint image of the Bodhisattva standing above the stupa can be seen. This is the situation that Long Zhou Rinpoche and Xiangge Qiongwa Rinpoche described when showing the photos. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III said, “What you saw should be a very good karmic condition.”

None of us at the Office saw the actual situation then and there. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III said, “Regardless of what a temple is, it would be a good one as long as it abstains from everything that is evil and does everything that is good.”

Our Office must point out that anyone who does not respectfully listen to the recorded dharma lessons expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, does not follow Sakyamuni Buddha’s teaching in the sutras, and does not pass the checking and validation using the 128 views but uses rhetoric and slogans to declare spreading the true dharma of the Tathagata can hardly avoid falling into evil views and erroneous views. Such a person is not a regular Buddhist no matter how high his or her status may be. We hope that this temple can truly act in accord with the Buddha’s teaching in the future to spread the true dharma of the Tathagata and benefit sentient beings in the six realms.
