Announcement No. 20140104

By | March 27, 2014

The International Buddhism Sangha Association (IBSA) received this Buddhist disciples’ questioning forwarded from the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III: Why some rinpoche came to Hong Kong but did not attend the H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Grand Dharma Assembly and the Assembly Celebrating the First-Publishing of Expounding the Absolute Truth Through the Heart Sutra. For that, IBSA hereby gives an explanation.

It was true that Henghsing Gyatso Rinpoche came to Hong Kong and did not attend the grand dharma assembly on that day. The reason was that he became physically ill and would not be able to stay at the venue during the assembly. Therefore, IBSA agreed that he had a rest to recuperate.

The following is the related information forwarded by the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and Henghsing Gyatso Rinpoche’s letter of repentance.

Respected Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III,

We attended the H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Grand Dharma Assembly held in Hong Kong this time. It was very magnificent. We are very grateful to Namo H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III!

We clearly saw a rinpoche who had a long beard in Hong Kong. However, he was not seen at the dharma assembly. As a rinpoche, he came to Hong Kong but did not go to the dharma assembly. We think this is a demonic evil master and is a swindler who sneaked to be close to His Holiness the Buddha. Should he be expelled from Buddhism? We ask the Office to validate whether what we think is correct or not. We are for the purpose of benefiting living beings.

Namo H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III!

The Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III,

In the morning of March 22, this disciple who has sin and dark karma very excitedly led more than 200 Buddhist disciples to travel to Hong Kong to attend the Grand Dharma Assembly of the First-Publishing of Dharma Expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, Expounding the Absolute Truth Through the Heart Sutra. However, on the airplane, I felt very strong pain in the abdomen and had to go to the restroom two or three times. After arriving at the hotel, my diarrhea became even more severe. I had to miss the dress rehearsal on that day but still had the hope of being able to attend the dharma assembly the next day. However, throughout the night, I had severe abdomen pain and diarrhea.

I was deeply worried. If I insisted on attending the solemn and sacred dharma assembly, I knew that I would not be able to sit there long and causing damage to this grand event would be even more sinful. Therefore, I asked for leave from the International Buddhism Sangha Association. I was told that, since I was not in good health, I should not go to the venue. Still, I very sincerely repent for not being able to attend this supremely magnificent occasion.
